Some people might think LeBron, Durant and a few other NBA stars created the summer charity game. Maybe it’s because we are in the middle of a lockout and the players don’t know when they will suit up again in a NBA uni so they are organizing new games every other week that we go to and make bad ass mixes for the social networks to go crazy over. Maybe it’s because in the past few years NBA players complained they didn’t want to participate in any basketball activity because they needed rest. Cure for Cancer, AIDS, represent US in the Olympics? No thanks I need to rest aka I’m not going to play because I’m guaranteed millions in a couple of months. Well, that’s another post. This one is to share some awesome past charity games that featured NBA players that many people might not remember. [Source]
Katrina Charity Game – bad thing about living in Houston was Katrina was a major pain in our ass and everybody from Louisiana moved here. Good thing about living in Houston was I got to see this game live for less than $50.
Vince Carter Charity Game – Vinsanity at it’s best. Vince was throwing down windmills off the backboard, reverse 360s and elbow dunks in the games
Magic Johnson’s Mid Summer Nights Magic Games – Jordan, Nique and many other NBA greats would show up these games that could pack a NBA arena.
Here’s a few of my favorites.

Scottie Pippen All-Star Classic – Mostly known as the game that reminded MJ that he belongs on the court with Air Jordan’s not on a bench with a jock strap & baseball cleets.
Zo’s Summer Groove used to be a showcase for nasty dunks by Tmac & Vince and recently featured the likes of LeBron, CP3, Wade & Durant
